USAG is a non-partisan, non-profit making and development focused association which seeks to ensure that there is effective mobilization of students of member institutions/blocks for the holistic development of individuals, the association and the nation as a whole with its activities geared towards helping in the realization of the millennium development goals of the country:
USAG was established nine years ago with the aim of creating a forum for students of accredited Universities and University Colleges in Ghanato meet and discuss issues of common interest and also to identify possible areas of concern to the society where students can contribute their quota together with the society in reducing the social cost and burdens of identified negative social phenomenon which usually impacts adversely on the socio-economic life of the inhabitants of the society.
Also as a formidable and noble Association of student elites in Ghana with member students all over the country in various structures of society, we deem it very prudent to contribute our quota to the development of these communities and the country as a whole.
It is against this backdrop of our desire and determination as an Association to ensure that the vision of the Association is fulfilled by addressing the social canker “elephantiasis” that needs particular attention of young, energetic and educated men and women like us in its combat. Activities are hence based on raising the awareness and knowledge of elephantiasis in endemic communities and to create a nationwide awareness of elephantiasis and its effect on the lives of the people in Ghana.
